(August 3, 1945 – March 13, 2019) - It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Betty Peterson with family by her side while at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury. She has joined her husband and her forever love Vyrn. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Kerry Peterson (Mike) and her son Cory Peterson. Beloved Grams of Randalyn, Savanna (Bill), Michael (Tia), Jesse and Tracy (Keith). Treasured Great Grams to Paris, Minisha, Kaia, Aurora, Damian, Zoey and Jasmine. Loving sister of Peter, Paul, Michael, Robert and Woody. She was an aunt and a friend to many.
Betty was an active community member volunteering her time with the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary Branch #189 in Blind River, the Lions Club, the Eastern Star and the Cadets. In 2012 she was the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Medal given for outstanding community services.
The family wants to thank the nurses and doctors at Maison MuCulloch Hospice as well as the staff at Share Care and the Northeast Cancer Treatment Centre.
