Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, August 12, 2022, at the age of 98.

He is now reunited with his beloved wife of 60 years,
Luisa. Loving father of Aldo (Evana) and Sergio (Nancy). Proud Nono of Luisa (Rob), Mara, Rachel (Alex), Michael, Samantha (Matt), Anthony and Elizabeth. Predeceased by his parents Enrico and Maria Iacoe. Brother of Erbina Bernardo (late Giovanni) and predeceased by Rosina Fiore (late Vincenzo), Pasquale (late Adelina), Emilio (late Annetta), Orlando (Assunta), Pietro (Adelina), Carmella Giunti (late Antonio), Gennaro (Esterina) and Giovanni (Maria). Son-in-law
of the late Pasquale and the late Carmela Pino. Brother-in-law of Vince Pino (Silvana) and Nick Pino (Rose). Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Mike lived a full life surrounded by the love of his family who he cherished. He always worked hard and took pride in growing fresh vegetables in his garden and sharing them, along with homemade wine and salami with his family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Chapel at 12:00 noon with Father Trevor Scarfone officiating. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the F.J. Davey Home Foundation are greatly appreciated.


The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of the F.J. Davey Home, especially the Nurses and PSW’s on Cedar Grove 2 for the care, kindness and compassion shown towards our father and ourselves over the last several years and to the Sault Area Hospital Emergency and 3C staff who cared for him in his final days.
