Howard

With shattered hearts we sadly announce the passing of my beautiful Wife, Sherry on Friday September 30, 2022, at the Sault Area Hospital, at the age of 51. Sherry is finally resting peacefully and is reunited with her beloved Son Tyson. For the past seven months Sherry’s determination and strong will enabled her to battle cancer courageously. She sadly leaves behind her loving husband and best friend Scott, who cherished her and looked after her throughout this challenging journey, and her precious son Scotty who adored his Mom.  Daughter of Sandra and Peter Palahnuk. Sister of Johnny (Trudi) and Jamie (Tatiana). Daughter in law of the late Harold and Marina Howard. Sister-in-law of Valerie Hernden (Kevin) and Billy Howard. Aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to special friends Donald and Linell, Jordan and many others who helped with this difficult situation. Thanks to Dr’s. Lamb, Rossouli, C. Kuntz, L. Fera, Ericka from Paramed and Eliza and the excellent nursing staff on 3C.

Memorial donations in Sherry’s memory can be made to payable to or online to Easter Seals (https://secure.e2rm.com/registrant/DonationPage) or Sickkids Hospital (https://secure.sickkidsfoundation.com/donate)

Burial will take place in 2023 and will be announced at a later date.

Til We Meet Again

We watched you suffer, and you had to die

But all we could do was sit close by

You went away, we had to part

God eased your pain, but broke our hearts

God knew you were weary, the hill hard to climb

So he put arms around you and whispered “peace be thine”

The blow was hard, the shock severe

To part with one we loved so dear

Our loss is great, we’ll not complain

But trust in God to meet again

It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone

For part of us went with you, the day God called you home

Our family chain is broken, nothing is the same

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Heaven has gained another Angel!
