Dr. William Leo Gilbert Hopson passed away after a tenacious struggle with cancer. Gil passed away peacefully at the ICU of the Sault Area Hospital on Friday, April 18, 2003 at the age of 59. Loving husband of Ruth and cherished father of Marti. Beloved son of Vida Hopson and the late Gil Hopson. Sadly missed by sister Carol MacKenzie (Dean), brother mark Hopson (Andrea) and sister-in-law Jean Collins (John), as well as nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 22 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm. Donations to the Sault Area Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be most appreciated. The Hopson family would like to thank Dr. Hadley and Dr. Walde for their care and compassion as well as the nurses and respiratory therapists in ICU. We are grateful to the special staff, who supported us through the long day and nights.
