Passed away peacefully, on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at the Ottawa General Hospital, Marjorie Louise (nee Oatman) Hopper of Ottawa, Ontario, formerly of Tillsonburg, at the age of 86. Born in Ingersoll, Ontario, February 24, 1936, daughter of the late Ewart and Florence (Groves) Jones. Marjorie was a member of Avondale United Church, Tillsonburg and a Life Member of the Avondale United Church Women. Predeceased by her first husband William “Bill” Oatman (1982) and her second husband Floyd A. Hopper (2010). Loving mother of Brian Oatman, Port Bruce; Rhonda (Tom Kirby), Algoma Mills; Russell Oatman (Karen), Arnprior; Carolyn (Kyle Rouillard), Manotick; step-daughter Lorie Hopper, Delhi. Proud and loving grandmother of five grandchildren, one step-grandson, three great grandsons and one great granddaughter. Sister of Norman Jones (Maureen), Port Rowan, and predeceased by a brother William Jones (1950).

In keeping with Marjorie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A public Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Marjorie Hopper will be conducted on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at Avondale United Church, 60 Harvey Street, Tillsonburg, by Susan Barker-James L.L.W.L. Public visitation will take place one hour prior to the service, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Avondale United Church. Family inurnment in Springford Cemetery beside Wm. (Bill) Oatman, her first husband.
