Peacefully at the Plummer Memorial Hospital with his wife at his side on Sunday, January 18, 2004 at the age of 79. Martti fought a courageous fight with cancer. Loving husband of Raija Ritokoski-Holkko and the late Kerttu. Dear father of Thomas (Kelly Artuso), late Irene. Loving stepfather of Neil Ritokoski (wife Rose), Airi Ritokoski (husband John Harding), Maarit Ritokoski (husband Steven Serviss). Loving grandfather of Katrina and great grandfather of Jason Holkko-Stevenson. Step grandfather of Amy Ritokoski, Shelby and Dylan Harding, Chantal Artuso. Dear brother of Ailakki Kujala, Laina Rajamaki and predeceased by many brothers and sisters in Finland. Uncle of many nieces and nephews of Finland. Friends may call at the Arthur Funeral Home and Cremation Centre on Friday, January 23, 2004 from 11 am until time of funeral service in the chapel at 1 pm. Rev. Raija Perttula officiating. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions to St. Mary’s Lutheran Church or Sault Area Hospital Oncology Unit would be appreciated by the family. Martti had a great sense of humor which will be greatly missed not only by his family but the many friends whose lives he touched.
