“There are so many lives she touched in a positive way
So many memories that bring a smile and show the wonderful person she was
So many stories about how she made a difference or made someone’s day.”

Peacefully, Glenys Hoad-Reddick (Hicks/Devoe), at the age of 79, was taken from us here on earth and into the arms of Jesus on Monday, September 20th after she suffered a sudden stroke on Sunday, September 19th.

Glenys was always the bright spark in our lives, and she gave the best hugs and kisses to all that she loved!  She always had a decorating book, paint chips and tools in hand. Decorations outside were seasonally changed.  Up to the last moments of her awareness, she was blowing kisses on the phone to her family.

Glenys was the most awesome mom and mom-in-law to Eric Hicks (Debbie Warnock), Teri Esson (Robert Esson) and Bryce Hicks and mother-in-law of Lorena Hicks.  She was the best spouse ever to the late Alvin Hicks, the late Arnold Devoe and the late Terence Hoad-Reddick.  The late Claude and Marjorie Mills were blessed to have Glenys as their loving daughter and was a cherished sister to Claudia Devoe (Gordon), Steve Mills (Joan) and sister in law to the late Calvin Hicks (Marilyn, late Ella Mae) , Melvin Hicks (Yvonne, Marlene), Darlene Parr (Mervin), Sandra Vandette.

Glenys’ grandchildren fondly called her “Nannie” – Victoria Kowan (nee Esson) (Andrew), Elisabeth Esson, MacKenzie Esson, Todd Hicks (Steph), Tom Hicks,  Josh Hicks (Alicia)  but to the great grandchildren, she was called “Soo Nannie” -  Ella Kowan, Sofie Kowan, Catina Hicks.

A special thank you to Harold and Shirley Pigeon and Mark and Paula Thomas for always being there for our mom!   Special friend to Catherine Jobst and Viv Lane.  She will also be loved and missed dearly by the Hicks, Mills, Devoe, Pigeon families and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family tree is so large.  We love you all and we know who you are!
