HICKS, Ken

Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Tendercare Nursing Home on Wednesday, February 20, 2013.  Beloved husband of Joan.  Loving father of Tami Hicks and Matt Hicks.  Dear step-father of John, Kenny and Chris Luxton. Cherished grandpa and greatgrandpa to many.  Son of the late Gordon and Ellen Hicks.  Brother of Norma Irvine (late Jim), Billy Hicks (Gail), John Hicks “Teddy” (Marcy), and Judy Donavon.  Brother-in-law to Ed Grigg.  Ken will be fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and good friends Palmer Maniacco Jr. and Rick Wing.  At Ken’s request there will be no visitation or service.  Memorial donations to Tendercare Residents’ Council would be appreciated by the family.  Special thank you to the staff of Tendercare for the care and compassion shown to Ken.  Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation & Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road 705-945-7758).  www.northwoodfuneral.com
