Marvin (Hank) Henderson passed away quietly on Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at his home with family by his side. He was 86 years of age.

Born in Sault Ste. Marie in 1934 to Robert and Sadie Henderson, Marvin married Arlene Mary Strand, they were together for 54 years. Father of the late Shelly Mae, the late Robert Norman, David Michael (Cindy) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and James Scott; grandfather of David Robert (Kathlyn) of La Grange, Kentucky and James Edward (Jensen) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; great grandfather of Allie Mae.

Marvin was a machinist at Algoma Steel, retired as an instructor in the Automotive Department at Sault College. He earned his BA from Algoma University. He served as a Lieutenant in the 26th Service Battalion.
Marvin was a founding member of the Sault Kennel Club, he volunteered with his dogs doing pet therapy at local rest homes and at hospital. He enjoyed his time working with the Algoma Model Engineering Society, helping build and maintain the locomotives and rolling stock. Marvin looked forward to his time in the water with his friends in the John Rhodes Pool Group.  Marvin was a member of Christ Church, he served terms as Peoples Warden. He was fond of his church family and looked forward to attending services.  Marvin will certainly be missed by his family, and his many friends.

A private graveside service was held Thursday, June 23, 2020 at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Raymond Knight officiated.
