Passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 in his 82nd year.
Ken was born in Parry Sound, Ontario on October 8, 1938. He was husband and partner to Vivian, father of John (Sheila), and Christopher (Coreen). Step-father to Kellie Jackson. Grandfather to Hannah (Lyle), Joshua (Kate), Katelin, Garrett (Brittany), Grant, William, Devin Rigby, and Angelika Luczinski. Great grandfather to Wade, Dean, and Julie. Brother to Sydney Hatherley (deceased), Amy Hayhoe (Caleb), and Irene Parsons. Uncle to Caleb, Janette, Bea, Byron, Justin, and Juanita and great uncle to their children. Brother-in-law to Darwin Haslehurst (Billie), Special uncle to Troy Haslehurst, Shane Haslehurst (Lorianne) and Tracy Hall. Great Uncle to Taylor, Joshua and Lindsay Haslehurst, Melissa (Steve), Samantha (Kyle), and Elena (Scott). Special uncle to Travis and Claudia Daniels (David). Special friend to Terry and Michael Harpe. Ken loved calling out greetings to all in the neighbourhood. He was especially happy in the company of children and animals. Our sincere thanks to Dr. Carrie Kuntz and Andrew of the Group Health Centre for their unwavering support, Jamie and all the care providers who were so kind with Ken, and all the family and friends who reached out with support, cards, food, and words of encouragement.
