Passed away peacefully with family by her side at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Harten. Cherished mother of Roy Harten (Laura). Proud grandma of Sarah Heaton (Jay), Amanda Harten, Elizabeth Remmer (Steven) and Emily Harten. Loving great grandma of Mariah, Aubree Heaton, Bailey, Landon, Grayson Spooner, Rhyan and Keegan Remmer. Predeceased by her parents Roy and Mertle Kerr. Dear sister of late Andy (late Edie). Sister-in-law of the late Jack Harten and Mary-Lou French. Aunt of Dianne, Sharron, Hezilie, Judy and Andy (Jr.) Kerr and Beth, Karen and the late John Harten. She will also be missed by Audrey, Helen, the Radford family, many other cousins and friends. Hezilie was a proud member of the Eastern Star and one of the two original Highland dancers of the Soo Pipe Band (49th Pipe Band). Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton and Kiteley Chapel  (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Friday, February 22 , 2019 from 6pm - 8pm. Funeral service to take place at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10am.  Rev. Eun-Joo Park officiating.  Memorial contributions to SAH Foundation would be greatly appreciated. A special thank you to Sault Ste. Marie paramedics, Dr. Garniss, Dr. Stacy Tkachyk, RN Stacy M and Dr. Quon for their care and compassion.
