Passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital with his wife Norma of 67 years by his side. Son of the late Canon W.A. & Emma Hankinson and son-in-law of the late Irvin & Peggy Robertson. Predeceased by his sisters Barbara & Alice Hankinson and dear brother-in-law of the late Lawrence Robertson (Joyce).  Loving father of Janice Render (Brian), late Rob Hankinson (Kim), Alison Horbatuk (Steve) and Stephen Hankinson (Kim). Grandfather of Tyler Hankinson, Shawn Horbatuk (Kat), Ryan Hankinson (Sheena), Carrie Punches (Derek), Tianna Jobst (Nick), Tanner Rutland (Jessica), Therran Hankinson, Johanna Hankinson and Nolan Hankinson.  Great Grandfather of Emily, Drew, Lauryn, Tuck, Wesley & Jack.  Beloved Uncle of Marianne Davies (Bryan), Mark Robertson (Karen) and Beth Olivero (Phil). He will be missed also by many other family members and friends.

Fenn was born in Rousseau, Ontario, raised in Thunder Bay, and graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.A. degree. He began his 31-year teaching career in Sudbury where he met the love of his life, Norma, before he moved to Sault Ste. Marie and married in 1954. It was there that he and Norma built their family and home, as well as their beloved camp in Horseshoe Bay. Nothing made Fenn happier than having his family & friends together at the hacienda on the shores of Lake Superior. He was an avid outdoorsman who wanted to get out fishing right until his final days.  Fenn enjoyed telling a good story and sharing a laugh with you, whether over a bottle of his chokecherry wine or while playing cards.  As a devout Christian, Fenn lived his life in the name of the Lord and was an active member of St. Matthew’s Parish.

Fenn's Family would like to thank Dr. Ladak and the staff on 3C for their compassion, humanity and understanding. In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations to ARCH or Sault Area Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family. Friends and family are welcome to visit www.arthurfuneral.com obituaries section to leave a message of condolence as a keepsake for the family.

A memorial visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Arthur Funeral Home. A Church service will take place on Thursday, August 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Emmaus Anglican Church with Rev. Holly Klemmensen officiating.
