(March 19 1956 - July 5, 2021) The family of Don is heartbroken to announce his sudden passing at home.
He is reunited with his parents John and Eva Grant, and leaves behind siblings Bob (Karen), Jim (Paula), Danny (Brigitte), Britton, and Dolly. Loved and adored by nieces and nephews Chris (Steff), Eva (Franco), Amanda (Brandon), Sarah (Dave), Susan (Sean), Katie, Mike (Alannah), and Robert. Loving uncle of 8 great nieces and nephews.
He spent many years at City Board of Works and made countless friendships along the way. Everyone who knew Don loved him, and in his younger days when not working, would spend many nights at the Airways. Always quick to laugh, and though he could be a bit rough on the edges, his love for his family and friends ran deep. He will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
A private graveside service for Don will be held for the family, where he will be laid to rest with his parents at Hillside Cemetery in Prince Township. A Celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donations (payable by cheque or online) to Sault Area Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
