GRAND, Sarah Marie

Posted

GRANDPassed peacefully in our home at 10:30 a.m. the 20th day of July at the age of 25. It was a beautiful passing with both her loving parents holding her in their arms. Sarah's courageous, dignified and ever hopeful journey with brain cancer has ended, but her spirit lives on through eternity. Sarah, our life, our love, our inspiration, our hero, our daughter, the light of our life is now gone.

'A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam.

And for a brief moment it's glory and beauty

belong to our world.

But then it flies on again, and though we wish

it could have stayed, we feel so lucky

to have seen it.

Fly, our little purple butterfly, fly. Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over... she became a butterfly.'

We know in our hearts that you are some place safe and peaceful. We find comfort knowing that some day we will all be together again.

She Is Gone

You can shed tears that she is gone

Or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back

Or you can open your eyes and see all she has left.

Your heart can be empty because you can't see her

Or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday.

You can remember her and only that she is gone

Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back

Or you can do what she'd want:

Smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
