Passed away peacefully with family by his side at Health Sciences North in Sudbury, Ontario on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the age of 74. Born in Simbario, Italy on May 5, 1944 to the late Bruno and Marianna Gervasi (nee Cirillo). When Dominic was 11 years old, he and his brother moved from Italy to Montreal Quebec to join the rest of his family where he was raised and met his loving wife of 54 years, Huguette Gervasi (nee Boyle). He will be greatly missed by his children Bruno Gervasi (Palma), Marianella Drabick (Wayne), Cosmo Gervasi (Melissa), Carlo Gervasi (Giovanna), Rick Gervasi (Angie), and Julia Trunzo (Domenic). Attentive and loving grandfather to Anna Gervasi (Ryan), Chelsea Gervasi (Keith), Angela Boudreau (Ben), Katelyn Drabick, Joseph Gervasi (Chrystal), Victoria Gervasi (Jonathan), Domenic Gervasi, Nikolas Gervasi, Marlena Gervasi, Joshua Gervasi, Norah Gervasi, Adriana Trunzo, and Ariano Trunzo. Dear brother of Nicholas Gervasi (late Lisa), late Frank Gervasi (Carmela), late Fortunato Gervasi (late Lisa), late Salvatore “Sammy” Gervasi (late Delores), late Connie Romano (late Sam), Maria Roti (late Bruno), Teresa Torresan (Joe), Immaculata “Mickey” Ruscitto (Joe), Cosmo Gervasi (Tina). Wonderful brother in law to all of Huguette’s siblings in Montreal, Quebec. Loved immensely by his many nieces, nephews and friends. Dominic was a man who loved being surrounded by his family and met many friends from various walks of life along the way. He was extremely proud of his 28 years of sobriety. Dominic attended and assisted many people within the Alcoholics Anonymous Program. He was an avid Montreal Canadiens and soccer fan, enjoyed working in his garden, and tinkering with anything in his garage that had a motor. We love you, Papa! Friends are invited to visit at Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel, (492 Wellington Street East. 705-759-2522) on Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 6 pm to 9 pm Funeral service on Monday, July 2, 2018 at 11 am. Internment Holy Sepulchre.  Memorial donations to Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation or Algoma Diabetes Education & Care Program would be appreciated. The family would like to thank the Sault Area Hospital Emergency Department, the ORNGE air ambulance paramedics, and all of the physicians and nurses in the ICU at Health Sciences North for their excellent care and compassion.
