Peacefully, after a brief illness, Monday, August 12, 2019, at the age of 88, with his son, Stan and daughter-in-law, Tina at his side. Joe is now reunited in heaven with his late beloved wife, Rose (née Bumbacco - 2011) and his late daughter, Betty-Lynn (2018). Joe was the son of his late parents, Joseph Stanley II and Betty Gale (née Armstrong). Dear father of Angela Gale and Stan Gale (Tina); dearest brother of Pat Evans (Gary). Grandfather of Lisa Schoenberger, Nancy Schoenberger, Corey Gale (Courtney), Brittany Gale (Eric), and Kristen Gale (Sam). Joe will be sorely missed by Terry Liedke. Survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws on the Bumbacco side.
Family and friends are invited to a graveside service on Tuesday, August 27th, 2019 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at 1 pm. Please meet at the cemetery chapel (corner of 4th Line and Peoples Rd.).
The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Sharp and 3A staff and nurses, especially Alanna and Diane for their exemplary and compassionate care during his final days at the Sault Area Hospital. Memorial contributions (made payable by cheque) to ARCH or the Diabetes Association or the SSM Cancer society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
