Joanne Frost PIC

January 23, 1926 - March 5, 2021

With heavy hearts we regret to announce the sudden but peaceful passing of Joanne Frost in her 96th year while at Golden Birches Terrace in Blind River. Reunited with her husband George John, her son Brian Joseph “Pecky” and her grandson Jason. Proud and loving mother of Larry (Christina), Gary (Rejeanne), Mickey (Rachel), Lorraine Sher (Dave), Wayne, Tim, Barry and Shelley Toulouse (Sonny). Grandma of Asha, Erica, Sherry Ann, Troy, Dawn, Corey, Frank, Michael, Brandon, Brian Jr., Tyler, Kristopher, Robyn, Cody, Patrick, Samantha, Ellen, Bobby Jo, Travis, Jadyn, Jake, Lacey and Kerri Ann. Great grandmother of many. Will be dearly missed by her sister Mildred Johnston (late Peter) and many nieces and nephews.

Joanne was a long time and very active member of the Spanish Legion Branch #576. She loved bingo, scratch tickets and outings with her sons to the casino. Most of all…she loved her family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Golden Birches Terrace who cared for our mother for the last 13 years and always made her feel as though it was her home. Joanne was the official door greeter making anyone who entered feel welcomed. She was the presiding Resident’s Council President at the time of her passing.

Friends and family are invited to visit at the Menard Funeral Home in Blind River, 72 Lakeside Avenue on Thursday, March 11, 2021 between 2pm and 4pm and again at 6pm to 8pm. COVID precautions in place with mandatory masks, hand washing, social distancing and cleaning between guests. Refrain from visiting if you are unwell.

Funeral service at Our Lady of the Highway church and burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Spanish to be held in spring or early summer of 2021.
