Suddenly and unexpectedly on Thursday, September 29, 2022 in his 66th year with family by his side he joined his parents Albert and Marie.

Leaving behind the love of his life of 42 years Cheryl. Proud father to Eve Webb (Tom), Nathan (Allison) and Sarah Tomlinson (John).  His most prized possessions, his grandchildren, Popo to Abigail and Samuel Webb and Pa to Eddison and Genevieve Frenette.  Son in law to the late Arthur and late Marjorie Mills. Brother to Boyd (Jill) and Guy (Jamie).  Brother-in-law to the late Roger and late Lola, Elaine and late David, late Dennis, Phyllis and Andy, late Susan and Garry, Marilyn and Joe, Marlene and Stan, Kathy and Brian, Cindy and Joss.  Much loved uncle and great uncle to so many.  Dear friend and golfing buddy to Doug Robertson and remembered by family friend Marilyn Abbott.

Chuck worked as an Erector for 38 years at Algoma Steel while owning and operating Hilltop General Store with his family.  After a full career he took on a semi-retired life from managing PDC for 3 summers, to working endless hours in his workshop creating items with rustic wood and recycled items.  An avid cook, reader and "pretty good" golfer he also enjoyed being on Laird Council and a part of the Echo Bay Elks including the Catch the Ace draw.

His biggest time well spent was with two of his grandchildren.  Sam and Popo shared a love of movies, board games and gaming together.  Popo enjoyed teaching his "pretty girl" Abba to cook every chance he got and sneak in a mushy kiss when she least expected.  He loved his virtual lunch dates with his Eddi and Nev all the way in Langham, SK and the three weeks they got to visit this past July.

Thank you for a lifetime of memories and life lessons.

A come and go Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 8, 2022 from 3pm-7pm at Laird Hall.

If you wish, donations can be made to the Echo Bay Elks #535.

We would like to thank all the first responders, ER staff and ICU staff especially OPP Officer Damien Morin, Dr. Ghosh, Dr. DiFabio, Dr. Bagai, Dr. Landry, nurses Jess, Chris, Carla and Anna as well as Dr. Wacker.  The care ("The Gentle Giant and Pillar of his community")  he received was exceptional.
