It is with heavy hearts our family announces the passing of our treasured mother in her 77th year surrounded by her loved ones on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. Like all else in her life, she faced it with grace, dignity and humour. Long standing member of the Ontario College of Nurses, Mom always made the best of whatever came her way in life. An immensely strong woman, her unique personality and taste for living life just a bit differently from most is what we treasured most about her. It's has left us with memories to keep us laughing and crying for the rest our own years. She is not one to easily be forgotten. She spent her career caring for others with the same dedication she cared for her own friends and family. She was intelligent with a voracious appetite for knowledge, funny, spontaneous and accepting of all. The vacancy her passing has left can never be filled. She is predeceased by her husband James  Fraser, her special friend Ed Ducharm, parents Robert and Leta Lawrence, and recently her much loved furry housemate Iris. Left to mourn her passing are her children Patrick Fraser (Donna) James Fraser (Tina) Heather Batson (Robert) and Erin Fraser. Heartbroken are her grandchildren Travis, Valerie, James, Courtey (Mike), Audrey, Shawna, Grace (Michael) great grandchildren Jesse, Kalla, Shelby, Seth, Wesley, Allison, Abbigail, and Connor. Missing her deeply is her "Good Boy Freddy", her dear big sister Arlene Harten as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, clients and co-workers. Cremation has already taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. We would like to thank everyone who helped us in her cancer journey, in particular friends Wesley Hurley, Tammy Robinson, Jennifer McLeod and Peggy-Anne Lacrosse, her Bayshore nurse Suzie, Dr. Booth, the Algoma District Cancer Program and the amazingly compassionate nurses of 3C at the Sault Area Hospital. Memorial contributions (payable by cheque) to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. We love you Mom.  Arrangements entrusted to the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. East 705-759-2522).

 Joy to the world
 All the boys and girls
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea
 Joy to you and me
