Born January 5, 1923 in Fara F. Petri, Italy and passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her children at the Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at the age of 97. We are comforted to know that Dora is reunited with her beloved husband (of 65 years), Livio. Loving and cherished mother of Julia Lepore (Tony), Rita Fera (Barry) and Anita Helferty (Michael). Proud Nonna of Angela Mejaki (Tyler), Chris Lepore (Tabatha), Lucas Helferty (Leigha) and Alyssa Helferty. Precious Great-Nonna of Paige and Taylor Lepore, Liam, Layton and Livia Helferty and Braedan and Evan Mejaki. Predeceased by her parents Elmiro Ferrante and Maria Dimarinis. Predeceased by her brothers: Remo, Antonio, Rocco and Palmerino and sisters: Adele, Ida and Filomena. Sister-in-law of Luciana Ferrante (late Palmerino) and Lidia Frani (late Amerigo) and cousin of Carmela Tatonetti (late Casimiro). Dora will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and cousins here in Canada, Italy and the US. A private family Service was held at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758), Father Trevor Scarfone officiated.
