Marietta Fortino passed away at the Great Northern Nursing Home on Thursday, October 24, 2002 at the age of 89 years. Beloved wife of the late Carmine Fortino. Dear mother of Pat (Carol) and Eddie (Lise). Grandmother of the late Genevieve, Christine, Megan, Nicholas, Devon, Conrad and Marty. Daughter of the late Teresa and Vincenzio Mirabelli. Sister of the late Cesare Mirabelli (Antoinette), the late Emma DeRosa (Michael), Rose Canale (Sam) of Sault Ste. Marie and Angela Gatti (Gino) of Toronto. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Road, 759-7758) on Sunday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Veronica's Church on Monday, October 28 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Paul Conway officiating. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
