FORTINO, Lise Marie

Posted

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lise Marie to be with her Lord on Thursday December 4, 2003 after a courageous battle at Mount Sinai Hospital at the age of 47 years. Beloved wife and friend of Eddy. Loving and dedicated mother of Conrad and Marty. Cherished daughter of Bernadette and the late Charles Nadeau. Daughter-in-law of the late Marietta and Carmine Fortino. Loving sister of Andre Nadeau (Arla), Ivan Nadeau (Gail), Lucie Lebouef (Ivan), France Nadeau and Suzie Hanson (Mike). Sister-in-law of Pat Fortino (Carol). Survived by many nieces and nephews as well as aunts and uncles. She will be missed by Karen Luxton and her many friends and all that knew her. Lise was a tireless worker who loved her teaching profession, especially the children as well as her co-workers. She also enjoyed her various volunteer assignments over the years. Lise had many good qualities; her unconditional love for family and friends was to be admired. Unselfish, caring as well as gentle but strong and courageous as a lion when she had to be. A good human being. Friends may call at the Northwood Funeral Home (942 Great Northern Rod 945-7758) on Monday evening from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Veronica’s Church on Tuesday, December 9, 2003 at 11 am with Reverend Paul Conway officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to the Princess Margaret Hospital (Amyloidosis Unit) would be appreciated by the family. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Mount Sinai, Princess Margaret and Toronto General Hospitals for all their care and support.
