FORTIER, Benoit G.

(April 21, 1934 – December 4, 2012) – Born in Hallewood, Ontario, Benoit passed away at the Lady Dunn Hospital, Wawa on Tuesday December 4, 2012.  Beloved husband of Marguerite for 50 years.  Loving father of the late Michel (Patti) and Donald (Kim).  Proud grandfather of Emily, Christopher and Stephanie.  Dear son of the late Aldéa and Joseph Fortier.  Dear brother of Clermont (Therese), Fernand (Bertha), the late Fernande (Bob Camire) and predeceased by his four sisters and their spouses.  Sister-in-law of Nora (Marcel).  Benoit will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews.  Friends are invited to visit at the P.M. Gilmartin Funeral Home (140 Churchill Avenue, Wawa, 1-800-439-4937) on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 p.m.  A funeral mass will be held at St. Monica’s Church on Friday December 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Christopher Ezeonyemalu officiating.  Interment at Woodland Cemetery, Wawa.  Memorial donations made to the Lady Dunn Health Centre or to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.  The family would like to thank all of the staff at the Lady Dunn Health Centre for their care and kindness shown to Benoit and his family.
