(1935 – 2021) - Peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Ida (Sicoli) for 61 years. Cherished by his children John, Tony, Nancy Britton (Robert), Sergio, Gina Fiacconi (Ron), and Frank. Adored Nonno of Peter Florio (Amy Tripplett), Deanna Britton (Adam Stokes), Andrew Britton (Karina), and Ryan Fiacconi. Survived by his sister Concetta Mammone (Giovanni). Pietro is at peace and will be reunited with his parents Carlo and Anna and his siblings Francesco (Ida), Ida Filice (Settimio), Vittorio, Mario, Guglielmo (survived by Maria) and Settimio (survived by Louisa). Son-in-law of the late Gaetano and Angela Sicoli. Waiting for him will also be his sisters-in-law Rosina Plastino (Nicola), Francesca Pasqua (Vincenzo), and brother-in-law Vittorio Triestino (survived by Guiseppina). He is also survived by his sister-in-law Louisa Mannarino (late Vincenzo) and Francesco Sicoli (Saveria). He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. He will also be remembered by Laurie and Tim Mueller. Pietro came to Canada from Aiello Calabria, Italy at the age of 18. He worked hard as a laborer for many years before securing a position with the HSCDSB, where he retired after 25 years. Before falling ill, he enjoyed the many Italian traditions such as wine making, gardening, making sausage, and making fresh tomato sauce. Dad fought a very long battle. He was cared for every day by Mom, who made sure he was comfortable and had everything he needed.  Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Due to the pandemic only 40 people will be permitted into the building at one time, the use of masks or face coverings are mandatory. A private funeral service will take place. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum. Memorial donations to the Lung Health Foundation Sault Ste.
