In her own home on Monday, November 14, 2022, surrounded by her daughters, Noeline lost her final courageous battle with cancer at the age of 83. Reunited with her loving husband, Alfred Fernandes. Loving mother of Penny Sobun (Rychard), Wendy Hnatchuk (Wayne), Geri Fernandes, Hazel Robinson (Brian), Pamela Kainula, and the late June Fernandes. Adored by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her large extended family. Beloved daughter of the late Enid and the late Richard Vaughan. Much loved sister of Colleen DeCouto (Ivan), the late Joan Wallace (William), the late Jean Claridge (Ron) and Richard Vaughan (Loretta).
We will miss her laughter and wicked sense of humour, her caring and gentle ways, her joy and enthusiasm for life, and her unfailing support of all of us. We will miss her keen wit, intelligence and wisdom, her love of nature and the Sunday dinners that brought us together without fail for many decades. Noeline was the glue of our family and she will be sorely missed.
A private family Mass will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church with Father Paul Conway officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the SAH Foundation or the charity of your choice.
