Peacefully passed away with family by his side at the Sault Area Hospital on Monday, April 23, 2018 at the age of 58. He was welcomed into the arms of God after a long battle with Cancer. He will be missed by his children Genevieve Desmoulin, Deila Cooke, Jeff (Megen) Mills, William Elie and Shelbey-Lynn Elie. He was the grandfather of 12 and great-grandfather of 6. Dear son of the late William James Elie and Catherine Julia Elie (nee Cardan). Survived by his siblings Leonard (Delorse), William (aka Boss), Shirley (Lorne) and Linda. Predeceased by his brother David Charles Cadran, and sister Elizabeth Julia Elie-Roberts. Special uncle of Jamie, Joanne, Jeremy, Robin, Christopher, Dustin, Tyler and Jaron. Friend and cousin of Arthur, Percy and Mariam. Henry will be missed by many nieces and nephews as well as friends at the casino and the mall. Family and friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E 705-759-2522) on Friday, April 27, 2018 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm. Funeral service from the chapel at 1:00 pm. Pastor Luke Lefebvre officiating. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Following the committal service, everyone is invited to join the family for a feast at the Elders Complex (200 Gran St. Rankin Reserve). Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital – Cancer Care Fund would be appreciated. Our family would like to thank the Long Life Care Program at the Indian Friendship Centre, doctors and nurses from the cancer clinic and 3B nursing staff for all of their support.
