Passed away suddenly at the St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Wednesday May 23, 2018 at the age of 73. Pre-deceased by her parents, Alfred & Hilda Hopcraft. Beloved wife and soulmate of 56 yrs to Lionel Drouin of Elliot Lake. Ruth was a wonderful mother to her 4 children, Diane McLasky of Brantford, ON, Laura Krueger (Eric) of Houston, Texas, Lionel Drouin Jr. (Daniella) of Gatineau, Québec and the late Darlene Pressey (Sheldon) of Chapleau, ON. Loving & special grandmother of Elisha (Richard), Jamie (Elisha), Kevin (Mandy), Christopher (Michelle), Morgan (Jordan), Emma & great grandmother of MacKenzie, Shyann, Luke, Zander & Carter. Also survived by her brother Richard Hopcraft (Alva) of North Bay along with numerous nieces & nephews. She will be sadly missed by all of her family members as well as friends & acquaintances. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Parish (45 Spruce Ave) on Wednesday May 30, 2018 at 2 pm. Deacon Joseph O’Neill officiating.
