DOUGLAS, Gail Louise (nee Diboll)

Posted

Born January 4, 1965 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario passed away in her 54th year, at home in Tiny , Ontario with family by her side. Gail fought an admirable and courageous 15 year battle and rocked it all the way. She was a pure and righteous soul who touched and brightened up all the lives lucky enough to have known her. Often, sometimes in pain herself, Gail would go out of her way to help perfect strangers with their own pain, fear and stress. Gail will be cherished forever by her husband Mark. Gail’s Tiny family was extensive including children Sammy, Cloe, Bart, Sophie, Scraggs, Merle, Lefty, Jimmy, Russ, Otis et al. Gail was a proud Sooite and Canadian with profoundly fond memories of childhood summers at camp on Gitchi-Gami which helped shape who she was as an adult. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. El-Maraghi, Nurse Agar and all the special doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at the RVH Cancer Centre and I.R. for their many years of care and support. If Gail was here she would tell us all to smile and carry on but never forget. We are all sure that Gail provided God with some stern suggestions on how to speed up the line as she passed through the Pearly Gates. Once a man and twice a child and everything is just for a while. One Love. Cremation has taken place. Please donate generously in Gail’s memory to the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre.
