It is with profound sorrow I announce that George DePratto at the age of 70 passed away suddenly in the arms of his beloved wife of 43 years. George my love, I will miss your warm smile, infectious hardy laugh, quick wit, tender touch and your unconditional love. You will forever be the love of my life. You have left a legacy of your kind and gentle soul.  George was born in November of 1949 in Kirkland Lake. Lived in North Bay and there met his soulmate. He worked for Canadian National Railway in Northern Ontario, then relocated to Sault Ste Marie.  He became an avid collector and had a great deal of knowledge of antiques.  George turned that passion into a business.  Spent countless hours in his garden, tending to the garden he planted for his wife.  Friends and customers would remember George sitting on his garden bench visiting.  Survived by his wife Josie DePratto, sister Marlyn Simpson (Gordon), brother Ray DePratto (Evelyn), sister-in-laws Andonetta Cariati and Angie Ricci and brother-in-law Fred Teolis (Vitra).  Will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Sudbury,  Southern Ontario and Victoria, BC., and many friends in Sault Ste. Marie and Capreol, Ontario.     Forever in our hearts. Predeceased by his father Joseph Leon DePratto, mother Mary Catherine DePratto, father-in-law Pasquale Teolis, mother-in-law Anna Teolis, nephew Donald Cariati, brother-in-law Oreste Cariati and Alfred Ricci.  Until we all meet again, may you be wrapped in their loving arms and the arms of the Lord.  With respect to George’s wishes cremation has taken place, a mass and celebration of George's life will be held at a later date for family and friends.  Memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Sault Ste. Marie Soup Kitchen or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.  Special thank-you to Andonetta, Roy-Anne and Kirk for your support and care. Arrangements entrusted to Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington Street East 705-759-2522).
