With great sadness and after a lengthy courageous struggle, we announce the passing of our dear mother. With son Paul at her side and the prayers of all remaining family members who could not attend due to travel and visit restrictions, on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at age 85.

Beloved wife of the late Leo for 60 years. Loving mother to Leo (late Laura), Leah Tatasciore (Enzo), Theresa Laurenti (Dario), Geraldine LeClair (David), Lorrie (Cathy) and Paul. Cherished Noni and Oma of 13. Bis-Noni to her first and second, new arrivals Alexander and Audra. Predeceased by her parents John and Zoli. Sister of Norman (Geraldine) and Richard (Bonnie). Survived by many nieces and nephews. She was blessed to have had numerous family members visit while palliative, along with the caring staff of the F.J. Davey Home who had been her extended family prior to and especially during these difficult times; always there to ensure she never felt alone between family visits. The family is forever grateful for their kindness and the sincere care. Carmel enjoyed being a member of Associate Sister of St. Joseph and the Catholic Women's League.  Due to restrictions and by invitation only, a private visitation and mass will be held at Arthur’s Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E 705-759-2522) on Thursday, July 2, 2020.  Private Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum on Friday July 3, 2020.  Memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Society or the SAH Cancer Care Fund. Please visit Arthur Funeral Home website obituaries to leave memories and condolences as a keepsake for the family.
