Passed away at Sault Area Hospital on Tuesday September 11, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Norma DeGuire. Dear son of Mary Gertrude Judd of Greermount, Quebec and Rene Joseph DeGuire of Moosecreek, Ontario. Paul will be missed by family and friends including his sister Mary Hanson (Ed) of Morrisburg, Ontario, late Doris Barkley (Keith) of Shawville, Quebec and many nieces and nephews. Paul played a strong role in the lives of many children in the SSM elementary school system and their families! He took his custodian job very seriously and especially enjoyed the children. Paul and wife Norma enjoyed many years of travel. Paul was an active member in the SSM Salvation Army band, helping with cubs/scouts and serving those in nursing homes over the years. Friends may visit at Arthur Funeral Home – Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E, 705-759-2522) on Monday, September 17, 2018 from 6 – 8 pm and Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Salvation Army (670 John St.) from 11:45 am - 12:45pm. Service to be held at 1:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the SSM Salvation Army would be appreciated.
