Clayton passed away peacefully at the Sault Area Hospital, with his wife and children by his side, on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the age of 68. Beloved and always cherished husband of Penny for 46 years. Loving and devoted father to Ryan (Erin), Lindsay (Terry), and Andrew (Michelle).  Adored and proud Grampa/Papa to Bryce, Keegan, Isla, Hailey, Jace, Gracie and baby to be. Clayton had a great sense of humour and a huge heart and took on many “adopted” grandkids as his own and teased and welcomed them all the same. Clayton was hoping to make it to his new granddaughters birth in November, and although that did not happen we know he will always be by her side and watch her grow. Clayton is predeceased by his parents Donald and Ethel. Dear brother of Elton (Debbie), late Bruce (Debbie), Donalda Walls (late Russ), Linda Lethbridge (Ron), Beth Nordberg (Tim), Debbie Muto, Connie (Kelly), and Donnie (Jan). Much loved son-in-law of Eldon and Dorothy Lethbridge. Brother-in-law of Jamie, and Kelly (Cindy) Lethbridge, and Tracy and Wally Gregorchuk. Clayton is survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews who will all miss his fun-loving sense of humour. As per Clayton’s wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. Memorial donations to the Sault Area Hospital Palliative Care Fund would be greatly appreciated. Clayton had many wonderful friends who helped him through this journey and made his days a lot brighter. A Heartfelt thank you to Dr. Booth, Dr. Wilson, Dr. Niki Apostle, Dr. Rassouli, and Dr. Reich for all of their outstanding care. The Bayshore nursing staff, especially Maryann and Andrea who helped us to keep Clayton comfortable at home for as long as we did. The nurses at Sault Area Hospital on 3C, including Brett and Jill for their care and compassion in Clayton’s final hours, it was a true gift that did not go unnoticed. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758).
