Peacefully at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, April 27, 2004 in her 100th year. Loving wife of 34 years of the late William "Bill" Dalton. Helen and Bill lived and worked as teachers in Sault Ste. Marie for many years. Helen is survived by her sister Lou Proud of Toronto and brother William "Bill" Proud and his wife Jane of Listowel and predeceased by her sisters Georgina Erickson, Mary Proud, Anne Hennessey, and her brother Henry Proud. Helen will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation at Smith's Funeral Home, 485 Brant Street (one block north of City Hall), Burlington (905-632-3333) on Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Friday, April 30, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy to a charity of your choice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
