In the early morning hours of Tuesday, March 12th 2019, Doris Curtis passed away peacefully. She made it to the age of 93 and lived in Surrey, BC in her final days.

Doris was born in Yorkshire, England and immigrated to Canada at age 3. She had 3 children, 2 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. She was a  W.A.C., a homemaker, real estate agent, and proudest of all real estate broker.

Doris was a leader in sales with Canada Trust before branching out on her own. She had 35 years of outstanding customer service in her field. She was a member of the St. Joseph Island Chamber of Commerce.

Doris was an upbeat go getter in her community. She gave 10 years of dedicated service to Dr. Harold S. Trefry Memorial Centre. She was on council at Hilton Township, and later received Hilton Townships’ Senior of the Year Award, Twice! She was a rock hound and past president of the Gem and Mineral Club of Scarborough, loved to golf,  build miniature houses, miniature rooms, she loved to draw and paint.

Doris was loved by many, son Vincent, and husband Douglas met her on the other side. She is survived by brother Jack(Mary), daughter Suzanne, son Thomas(Cathy), grandson John(Blessing), granddaughter Steph, great grandchildren Xavier, Isaac and Lincoln, and all of her loving extended family, and wonderful friends.
