(March 14, 1945-Feb 14, 2020) - Unexpectedly, on Friday, February 14, 2020, our mother passed away quietly with dignity, surrounded by the love of her family. Beloved wife of the late William Currie. Her children, Kimberly Kienhofer (Michael), Douglas (Joanne), Curtis (Karen) and Christopher (Vanessa) are left heartbroken. Very special Grandma to all of her grandchildren, Jan, David, Paul, Greggory, Brett, Robyn, Megan, Jadyn, Melanie, Alyssa, Caitlynne and Cassandra. Great Grandma Faith of Cody, Trixie, Ellie and Bryce. She loved you all so very much. Daughter of the late Harold and Kathleen Oliver (nee Curtis). Loving sister of Sharon Hill (late Gerry), late Maureen Pyke, late Curtis Oliver, David Oliver, Susan Lampi (late Gary), Ann Finn (Michael), Mark Oliver (Heather), Michael Oliver (Tina), late Jonathon Oliver and Evan Zappacosta.

Mom knew her time was short but that never stopped her from doing the things she enjoyed with the family and friends that she loved so very much.  Mom took great interest in family history and traditions. She was strong in her faith and convictions and raised us to know the same.  “You work hard for what you want, speak truth and from the heart, love unconditional, and remember the joy in simple things.”  Coffee was always on, Mom’s door was always open and everyone was always welcome.

Friends and family are invited to visit at Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758) on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Mrs. Helen Smith officiating. Spring interment at Goulais River Cemetery. Memorial donations to ARCH, as requested by Mom, for all the wonderful care and support that they provide to our community. A heartfelt thank you to all of Mom’s nurses and caregivers at CCAC and ARCH.

As ever, Faith.
