January 6, 1955 - August 2, 2021

With heavy hearts we announce the unexpected passing of Ian while in the arms of loved ones at the family home.

Ian knew everybody. He had a good sense of humour, made friends easily and enjoyed chatting with those who crossed his path. Anything involving the outdoors was his passion including archery, hunting, fishing, camping and hiking. He made sure to pass his love of nature onto his 2 sons. Ian worked at Schaeffler Canada in Stratford for over 40 years then retired with his beloved wife Lynne to St. Joes Island in Northern Ontario in the home of their dreams. Ian loved an English pint and fish and chips. He will live forever in the hearts of those he’s touched.

Cherished best friend, soulmate and husband of Lynne (nee Arthur). Proud and loving father of Devon and Brennan (Amber). Fun loving Grandad of Charlie and Taiyah. Son of Austin and the late Doreen. Brother of Linda Booth (Chris) and John (Cate). Son in law of Barb and Ken Arthur. Brother-in-law of Judy Tuffnail and the late Murry Arthur. Will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family would like to thank the EMS paramedics and Amy the home care nurse.
A celebration of Ian’s life will be held at a later date.
