CROCKATT, Janet Ann (Masini)

Janet Ann Crockatt, age 66, of Sebring, Florida, formerly of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario passed away on Monday, April 19, 2004 at Appleton Medical Center after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 12, 1937 in Hancock, Michigan, the daughter of Louise and the late Joseph G. Masini. She married Wallace (Wally) S. Crockatt on September 7, 1957 at St. Joseph- St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hancock, MI. She is survived by her husband, Wally, Sebring, FL; daughters: Deborah (Robert) Mann of Appleton, WI; Lisa (John) Finnegan of Winter Springs, FL. and Marti Crockatt of Fond du Lac, WI and grandchildren: April and Ashley Mann and Riley and Ben Finnegan. She is also survived by her mother Louise Masini, Coral Springs, FL; her brother, Joseph E. (Charlotte) Masini, Burnsville, MN.; sister, Sharon (Anthony) Suppelsa, Coral Springs, FL., sisters-in-law, Alice Hollingsworth, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and Marilyn (Gordon) Cook, Nestor Bay, Nova Scotia, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph G. Masini; and grandson Christopher Mann. Janet graduated from Lake Superior State College and enjoyed many career accomplishments including teaching, research, archeology and real estate. She had a talent for cooking which she shared enthusiastically with family and friends. She also enjoyed boating on Lake Winnebago and golfing throughout her life. Janet was dedicated to her family and treasured special time spent with each grandchild. Janet’s smile was a reflection of her inner beauty and her faith, which touched the lives of all who knew her. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. William Guenther, Dr. Charles Cheng, Dr. Editha Krueger, their associates, the staff at the Martha Siekman Cancer Center and the oncology nurses at Appleton Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2004 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, Kimberly, WI. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 a.m. preceding the mass at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Martha Siekman Cancer Center at Appleton Medical Center c/o AMC Foundation in memory of Janet Crockatt.
