CRAIG, Geraldine Mae (Champaigne)

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Golden Birches Terrace on May 25, 2016.  Geraldine, in her 93rd year, beloved widow of Murray Craig.  Loving mother of Karen McPhee, Salli Watson (Harry), Shawn Amyotte (Bill) all of Blind River, Maureen Imbeau (Rick) of Naughton, Stacy Craig (Kim) Goulais River, Justin Craig (Pat), Dianna-Lynn Craig (Tom), both of Houston, British Columbia. Special Nanny of Craig, Ashleigh, Bobbi-Jo, Amanda, Drew, Trevor, Samantha, Bain, Alix, Beau, Ryan and Jason. Great Nanny to 7 children. Special cousin and Aunty to many.   Gerry was an avid sportswoman playing hockey with her boy cousins, curling, softball, golfing.  Her most passionate pastime was playing bridge and insisted her children learn the game as well.  (Thanks Ma)  Geraldine was born and raised in Elk Lake, Ont., moving to Cochrane and ended living in Blind River for 48 happy years. Friends may call at the Menard Funeral Home, Blind River, Ontario on Sunday May 29, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm.  Funeral Mass at St James The Greater Catholic Church on Monday May 30, 2016 at 11am followed by interment in Hillside Cemetery.  A special thanks to the Golden Birches caregiving staff for the wonderful care given to Gerry the past 6 years.  Special Thank to Dr. Mary Shamas for her comfort to Gerry and her family.  Donations to Golden Birches Terrace Blind River gratefully accepted.  www.menardfh.com
