Passed away peacefully with courage and strength after 12 long years of fighting illness with his wife by his side, on Sunday March 29, 2020 at the Sault Area Hospital at the age of 73. Husband and best friend of Kimberley (nee Glew).  Loving father of Darrell (Jeanne), Ron (Judy), Greg and Donnie (Dottie). Stepfather to Tara Corran (Richard). Special fun-loving Grandfather and Papa to Darrell Jr (Signe), Dustin (Lori), Ashley (Nick), Dylan (Karrissa), Natasha, Dawn, James, Emma and Ainsley. Great-grandfather to Zoe and Mia. Predeceased by his parents Ida Couturier-Grisdale and Douglas Couturier. Brother of the late Shirley Bruno (John), late Beverly Masters (late Ernie), late Lloyd Couturier, late Connie Bovingdon (Gus), late Wilbert (Karen), John Couturier (Shirley), late David Couturier, Eddie Couturier, late Carolyn Couturier, Lois Baxter (late Erleen), late Sharon Fry (Louis), Sandra Olendy (late Pete) and Aletha Bonin (Ken). Son-in-law of Beverley Glew (late Ken). Brother-in-law to Linda Glew (Ugene), Gail Bennett, Diane Lelievre (Steve), Karen Sawyer (Wayne), Gary Glew (Carol) and Barbara-Ann MacLean (Joey). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. Special Friend and buddy to Tim Morden (Dawn). Donnie will be remembered for his sense of humour, his love for his family and friends and also his stories which will be carried on and laughed at throughout the generations. A big thank-you for their love and support to Dr. Berry and Dr. Shafiee and the nurses (Angels) in Renal Dialysis who took care of Donnie over the years. As well as Dr. Fratesi and Dr. Shamp and all of the home care nurses that became such a special part of our lives. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Sault Area Hospital Renal Care Fund or to the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to O’Sullivan Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 215 St. James St.
