Posted

Surrounded by family and taken way too soon, it is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Ruby in her 67th year on Monday, October 29, 2012 at the Sault Area Hospital. Loving wife and best friend of Alex, just weeks away from their 42nd wedding anniversary. Daughter of the late Ferris Paul and late Rebecca Paul (Wynne). Cherished mother of Donna (Vern), Dwayne (Lorinda), Rebecca (Darren), Jason (Valiere), Johnathan (Christine) and the late Miranda. Special grandmother of 16 grandchildren. She was anxiously waiting for grandbaby #17 and her first great-grandbaby. Dear sister of Mary (Eli) and Douglas and predeceased by Adeline (George), Emily (Tom), Edward (Clara), Brody (Mary), Irene (Stanley) and James. Special aunt of many nieces and nephews. A visitation to celebrate our mother’s life will take place at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6-9 pm and again on Friday, November 2, 2012 from 1pm until time of the funeral service in the chapel at 3 pm. Our family would like to say "chi miigwetch" to extended family and friends for being with her through her courageous battle and journey. We would also like to thank the ICU staff for the care given to our mother and for the respect shown to our family members. Expressions of sympathy may be offered at www.arthurfuneralhome.com.

It's Ok To Go

You were sick and tired and we all knew,
that God would soon come to take you.
You fought so hard, so very long,
but through the pain, you stayed strong.

We all knew there would come a day,
when God would come to carry you away.
It doesn’t make it easier to say goodbye,
and I try so hard not to cry.

I can’t help but feel defeated,
or even maybe a little cheated.
But how very selfish would I be,
to hope and pray you could stay with me.

So as you laid there tubes running to and fro,
I had to tell you "It's ok to go".
Say "Hi" to loved ones waiting on the other side.
I know some day; you'll be there when I take that ride
