(August 17, 1928 - February 20, 2017) - Peacefully, with family by her side at the Blind River Hospital. Loving wife of The Late Ernest Corbiere. Predeceased by sons Ernest Jr., Peter, and daughter Deborah. Marie leaves behind children Neletia (Conrad) Janveaux, Linda (Ralph) Chiblow, Sharon (Dave) McIntyre, Wayne (Louise), Donald (The Late Sally), Michael, Mary and daughter in law Bonnie. Grandma will be sadly missed by 13 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Aunt Tootsie will truly be missed by all of her nieces and nephews. Tootsie was quite the character and was known for her great sense of humor and colourful personality. She worked hard for numerous Families in Blind River becoming a part of their lives gaining both their love and friendship. Her memory will leave a smile and a story to tell by anyone who knew or met her.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside interment at Hillside Cemetery followed by a Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and the entire staff of the hospital for their outstanding care. It was truly appreciated by Tootsie’s family.
