It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Rob at the Sault Area Hospital on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at the age of 45, due to cardiac failure. The family is shocked and deeply saddened. Rob will be forever loved and missed by his wife, lover and best friend, Sherry. He leaves behind his children Taylor (Colin and their daughter Nevaeh), Daniel and Hayden, whom he deeply loved and cherished. Beloved son of Irene Cole and Jim Cole (late Lois). Treasured brother and friend of Susan Cole (Alex). Son-in-law of Dan Knox (late Leslie) and Donna Currie. Rob will be missed by his niece Meagan (Cameron and their daughter Violet), nephews Joshua and AJ, his aunts and uncles (especially Joe & John), cousins and friends (Dave & George) as well as the extended families (Knox & Currie) which includes many nieces and nephews. Rob was a quiet man, who enjoyed the simple side of life. He was kind, loyal, highly dedicated and devoted to his family. Many know Rob as a hard worker, especially his coworkers at Pioneer Construction and Gentek. A special thank you to the Doctors and Nurse Peter at SAH for their compassion shown to our family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Algoma Residential Community Hospice would be greatly appreciated. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later and safer date.
