After a short battle with cancer, Marc passed away peacefully on July 18, 2019. Marc lived through his brief illness on his own terms, maintaining his stubborn and independent attitude up until his last days. Despite his illness, Marc took every day in stride, never once complaining. Thanks to the care and support given by Dr. Booth, Marc was able to remain at home, pain-free, as were his wishes. For this, we are forever grateful.

Marc treasured his children, Megan and Ryan, his pets, Homer and Reddi, as well as his pride and joy - the lawn. No one else was ever allowed to cut the grass, and if you somehow earned this privilege, it probably took you years to learn his “grass cutting patterns”. We will try, Dad, not to disappoint you in the lawn department, but you’re a tough act to follow. We will always remember his love for loud, fast cars. Although, for every car restored, there was another box of spare parts in the garage. Aside from cars, Marc always had a new toy in his workshop to play with, but good luck if you were ever allowed to use it. His passion for people taught us about compassion and patience, empathy and acceptance.

Marc leaves behind his wife, Chris, and two children, Megan and Ryan, as well as his brothers, Gerry (Sally), Michel (Karen) and sister, Joanne. He also leaves behind his nephew, Michael.

We will be gathering to share some of our favourite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry and remember a wonderful man who is greatly missed on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. in the Great Lakes Room at Quattro (229 Great Northern Rd). In lieu of flowers, donations to ARCH or Tracy’s Dream would be appreciated by the family.

Thank you again to Dr. Booth, Dr. Spadafora, Holly and Marcy at Paramed, and to the amazing team at ARCH. Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
