Peacefully passed away at the age of 80 with family by his side at the Sault Area Hospital on November 6, 2019. Beloved husband of that late Janet Charette. Beloved companion of 7 years to Norma Vanzant. Fred was predeceased by his father, Samuel Charette and mother, Annie Charette. Fred has 1 sister, who he adored, Shirley Shortt. He was a beloved father of Lisa Wilson, Belinda Bordin (Robert), Shari Charette (Dennis) and Danielle Charette (Rogers). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Sidney Wilson (Brandy), Bernie Lance (Eva), Scott Charette (Brianna), Trisha Lance (Cameron), Robbie Charette (Erin), Chantalle Hannah (Pat), Nicole Bellerive, Aimee Bellerive (Jordan), Jordan Bellerive (Katelyn), Ava Rogers and Tegan Rogers. He was also blessed with great grandchildren, Sidney, Jack, Lily, Layla, Brooklyn, Lily, Carter, Eli, Aubrey and Mia. Special uncle to Robbie Clement and Ronnie Clement (Monika). Special thank you to all the doctors and nurses on 3C, 3B, Allison from 3B and Dr. Culina for their outstanding care and compassion for our family and especially given to our dad. The family would like to give an extended thank you to Ruthanne Wilson for all her help and her compassion during this rough time. As for Fred’s wishes, there will not be a service, but a Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday November 23, 2019 at the Road House (743 Trunk Road) from 1 – 4 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Sault Search & Rescue would be appreciated as Fred belonged to the organization in his younger years.
