It is with deep regret that Warren’s family announces his peaceful and dignified passing at the Sault Area Hospital in his 78th year on Friday, February 16, 2018, with family by his side. A devoted husband and family man Warren is survived by his wife Elvi (nee Jalak) of 55 years, son Erik, daughter Brenda Tier (Peter Kastendieck), granddaughter Ashley Perron (Paul). Cherished great-grandson Oakley Warren Perron will carry your name with pride. Predeceased by his brother Peter (Leila), Warren is also survived by numerous nieces, and nephews of the Thureson, Jalak and Meerits families as well as his Thureson cousins Steen, Anne, June, and Lee.
A graveside service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 11:00 am. Please meet at the Cemetery Chapel for 10:45 am.
All are welcome to join us for a celebration of Dad’s life on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at his pride and joy, 196 Sand Bay Rd, Goulais River. Come when you can in your best Goulais clothes. Wings, fries and “cold ones” were Dad’s favourites and will be served after 3:00 pm.
