Passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, heaven has gained an honourable mate.
Beloved husband of Bonnie (nee Cappellani) for 38 years. Loving father of Ryan and Jeffrey. Cherished son of Robert (Jock) and Audrey Byrne. Dear brother of Ralph (Diane), Hamish (Bev) and Katherine Lees (Mike). Adored son-in-law of the late Louis and Jean Cappellani. Fun-loving brother-in-law of Glen Cappellani (Donna), Tina Cappellani (Doug Prusky) and Debra Cappellani (John Prgomet). Clint will be sorely missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in the UK and Canada. He was born in Cambridge, England. He spent his young years in South Africa and joined the British Royal Navy until meeting the love of his life while on assignment in Barbados in 1980. Following their marriage in Plymouth, England, Clint and Bonnie relocated to Sault Ste. Marie.
Clint was an avid sportsman who loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, golfing and curling. He supported and was the number one fan of his sons as they played hockey, soccer and swimming. Clint has made many friendships through his career while working at London Life and Shaw Cable. He was a devoted son, brother, husband and father and he lived a good and honourable life. We are all blessed to have had such a kind, strong and inspirational husband and father and he will be missed forever.
Friends are invited to visit at the Arthur Funeral Home - Barton & Kiteley Chapel (492 Wellington St. E. 705-759-2522) on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 6 pm to 9 pm. Funeral service to be held in the chapel on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 11 am. Mrs. Helen Smith officiating.
