It is with profound sadness that the family of Kathleen Buswa announce her peaceful passing on Saturday January 28, 2023 at the age of 67. Cherished mother of Patrick and Aldric Niganabe and daughter Bridget. Predeceased by her parents Leonard & Alvina Stockwater. Beloved sister of Stephen, Late Leonard, Roger, Maryanne (Paul), Margaret, Linda (Melvin), Sharon and late Leo. Loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren. Special Auntie of many nieces & nephews. Our sincerest thank you to the many nurses and doctors on 3A and ICU at Sault Area Hospital. Your kindness and understanding during this difficult time did not go unnoticed. A special Chi-Miigwetch to all our relations & the staff at Sagamok Anishinabek First Nation who sprang into action in our greatest time of sorrow. Family & friends are invited to the New Community Centre (5507 Star Rd, Sagamok) on Wednesday February 1, 2023 from 2 PM. Tradition Service on Thursday February 2, 2023 at 11 AM in the New Community Centre. Traditional spirit feast in honor of Kathleen will begin after 2 PM on Wednesday. Everyone is welcome to bring some food from home to share following protocols for preparing ceremonial feast food. Lunch provided following interment at the Cemetery.
