(March 1948 – November 2020) - Bonney celebrated her forty-ninth anniversary with Vince in August 2020. He promised the sun and the moon and delivered them over King Mountain. They are proud parents of Jeremy (the delightful Thea McCarthy) and awesome grandchildren Presley and Avery.
Predeceased by her hardworking parents Ilene (nee Thomson) and Wilfred (Mac) MacDonald, who instilled a love of gardening and quality craftsmanship in their family to last for generations. Bonney always fondly smiled at the thought of Freckles the dog shelling peas on the camp floor.
Lucky to have three unique sisters: Trudy (Rob) Cameron, Shirley (Bob) McClelland, and the ‘kid’ Wendy (Walter) Zurby.  She enjoyed her nieces and nephews: John (Timea), Karen, Michael (Raija), Kerry (Sam), Steve (Steph), Tracy (Jean) and Erica (Yves), as well as their children.
Predeceased by in-laws Pearl Brooks, with her sparkling blue eyes, and Fred Brooks, with his insatiable curiosity. Truly a caring and sharing couple.
Glad to be an in-law to the Havilland crew: Fred (JoAnne) Brooks, Greg (Donna), Terri (Lou), Susan (Kevin) and their children who are carrying on with the annual beef roast celebration of family and friends.
Valued the friendship of Frankie Lemonde-Meunier. The most creative and talented muse that fed creativity and joy in Bonney’s life.
So happy to have in-laws like the McCarthy clan that welcomed Bonney and Vince into their family.
Bonney had an interesting assortment of careers and believed strongly in continuing education. As a creative weaver in silk and copper she received many awards including the Judge’s Choice from the Handweavers Guild of America. Bonney filled her passion for gardening with the management and floral arranging at Fines Flowers and Greenhouse. This was followed by management of Keirstead Gallery and finally, data analyst/programmer for the Innovision Consulting, working mainly with our Air Force. Many wonderful memories of terrific coworkers and bosses.
In honour of Bonney’s caring and generous spirit, and in these difficult times, please donate to a charity of your choice.
Vince would like to recognize the support of the Orleans Palliative Care Team and the Carefor Nursing Team.
Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Rd, 705-945-7758).
