BRIGGS, Shirley (nee Sigety)

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Shirley Briggs at the age of 74 at Sault Area Hospital peacefully surrounded by her family on July 19, 2018. Beloved wife of Monty for 51 years. Loving mother of Todd, Melissa and Jennifer. Grandma of Bryan, Mitchell, Dylan, Tiffany, Cassidy, Aaron and Brandon. Great grandma to Coltan. Predeceased by her parents Charlie and Sally Sigety. Beloved sister Linda Swarbrick (Ellis) and sisters in law, Patti, Helga, Annette and Melanie Wheelan (Bob) and brothers in law, Chris and Greg (Elaine). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Shirley was a long time member of Daughter's Isabella, A.CT. Ladies Auxiliary & FOE Auxiliary and she had lots of fun with her Bingo Gang at Knights of Columbus. The family would like to thank the nurses of 3C at the Sault Area Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society. A funeral visitation will take place on Sunday July 22, 2018 at O'Sullivan Funeral Home (corner of Cathcart and St. James St) from 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Monday July 23, 2018 in the O'Sullivan Funeral Home chapel at 11 a.m.
