BOSTON, June Bernice

Boston, J crop

Passed into the loving arms of her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 3, 2021, in her 95th year. June was reunited with her best friend and husband Bob. She is greatly missed by her 6 children and families - Robin Marinelli (late Joe), Gerry Theriault (Jack), Fergie (Gail), Mary Hannah (Brian), Bob (Laura) and Bill (Sherry) and 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and special sister-in-law Barbara Hardcastle.

Mom (“Gram”, “Gramma-the-Great”) was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Allen and Gladys Swick. Her Swick relatives were very dear to her. At a young age June started working at the Ferry Dock, where she met and fell in love with Bob “Robert” Sommerville Boston, the two married and had 6 children.  When Mom turned 51, Dad passed away, and Mom fearlessly (with God as her guide and strength) became our Matriarch – holding our family together with unconditional love, a welcoming home, laughter, great conversations, dinners that included prayers, and celebrations almost every week.  Mom’s love was endless - the way she welcomed you when you walked through her door; the way she made you feel like she had all the time in the world for you; and the way she made everyone feel like they were her favourite.  The bond each of us shared with her was extraordinary.  She was a true Mother, dedicated to her family, full of wisdom, grace, encouragement, and faithful to her faith, and prayer life.  Anyone that met Mom loved her, respected her, and knew they were her friend – she treated everyone the same.

The family would like to thank Mapleview Staff-Ranger Lake, the Sault Area Hospital, and Father Pat Woods. In keeping with Mom’s wishes, a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice is appreciated and please pass on a hug to those near and dear to you.  Arrangements entrusted to Northwood Funeral Home Cremation and Reception Centre (942 Great Northern Road, 705-945-7758).

We love you Mom and promise to continue to love one another and keep our family close.
